Dinner, Vodka, Caviar Tasting and High Tea Datenight @ The Russian Tea Room NYC
Foodies and vodka connoisseurs everywhere, this is for you! Countless celebrities and politicians from around the world have visited The Russian Tea Room. Madonna was a coat check girl just there before she got her big break. As some of you may be know already, my boo is Russian and was raised in Estonia. To celebrate his heritage and culture, we went to The Russian Tea for a beautiful night of vodka + caviar Tasting, dinner, and high tea.
I love New York because there are so many places/precious landmarks that have been featured in famous films and tv shows that we all love to watch. When I was much younger, I would walk over to TIffany's with my $1.50 bagel/coffee special and pretend to be Holly Golightly. I am grateful to always know that, as long as you're in New York, there is always somewhere you can go to feel like you are a part of royalty.

SUNDAY BRUNCH SPOT NYC - ANTIBES BISTRO - LES GEM
Hidden on Suffolk street between Delancey and Rivington, there lies a cozy and charming little joint called Antibes Bistro. Allan and I wandered from Gramercy to the Lower East Side and couldn't find a place we wanted to have brunch because every place looked like a zoo. Every other restaurant we stopped at seemed so crowded on this particular busy Sunday afternoon, and there were lines of people waiting at every restaurant. After the hostess at the last restaurant we stopped at told me it would be a 45 minute wait, I got super discouraged and almost wanted to just go home and call it quits. Right as I started to get cranky, my hubby really came through and found us this hidden gem!
Be sure to try it out when you're in the area but remember Homies, it's our little secret.

Best Japanese Restaurant in Brooklyn: Omakase Tasting Menu @ Zenkichi Williamsburg
If you are searching for authenticity, a little piece of Tokyo is available right in the trendy city of Williamsburg Brooklyn. The food and atmosphere at Zenkichi is so fresh and artfully prepared, I am sure the presentation will impress your date for the night. Like they do in Japan, each table is enclosed in it's own isolated room with little curtains so that the diners can enjoy a bit of privacy. Allan and I enjoyed the most romantic dinner, until we got into a fight and ruined the vibe haha. The Zen Japanese aesthetic didn't tame our moods but, we made up and the food was fantastic so it was all good homies. I suggest you take your lover here after a fight rather than fighting during the meal. Also, this aint your average sushi joint so don't expect your local Haru when you walk in.

Queen of the Night - New York's Hottest Nightlife Event!
All hail the queen!
The Daily Beast calls it a "Sinfully lavish dinner theater madness", Queen of the night was by far the most exciting event I have been to all year.
Casey (blonde bombshell above) sent an email a while back about a Gilt City promotion to this thing called Queen of the Night and I thought it looked super cool but, was hesitant at first because my credit card has been through some tough workouts lately with all of the shopping I have been doing. After a few weeks went by, I still couldn't stop thinking about the event and decided to get it as an additional Valentine's Day gift for my boo thang. I'm happy I did because we had the best triple date experience ever! By then the Gilt City tickets were gone of course, so we booked our tickets directly through their website: Queen of the Night. I suggest you get your tickets ASAP because tickets are HOT HOT HOT! Tickets this week are all Sold out so pick a later date and lock it in homies. Gala tickets now start at $155 per person.

St. Anselm Seafood/Steakhouse: Date Night in Williamsburg Brooklyn
If you're in the mood for some amazing seafood, Steak and Potatoes, St. Anselm is the place to go. Allan heard about this amazing $16 for a steak joint from a co-worker, and we decided we had to go and try it out. Super low key and affordable, it's the perfect/trendy place for the young lovers & Friends.
You might get up to two slices of tomatoes if you tried to order a steak at Peter Luger or Smith & Wollensky's for the same price. St. Anselm doesn't take reservations so we hopped on the L train and had to get there 5 minutes before it opened to make sure we would get a table. When we got to their front door, there was already a long line forming down the block. Thank goodness we got there just in time! If you're making plans to visit, make sure you get there before the crowd. I apologize in advance for the low res pics but the lighting was just too dark in there for my iPhone. I brought you a slideshow via NY Mag at the bottom to makeup for my pictures homies. Overall we had a fabulous time and we ate some DELICIOUS food. I'm drooling just thinking about the food from this hipster steakhouse.

BEST HIDDEN BRUNCH SPOT NYC = Fell in love @ Ciao for Now
I think I found my favorite brunch spot! Cozy, cute, homey, quaint, and the food is just as amazing as your nanna's home cooking. It looks like it's a bakery/cafe from the outside but actually connected to a diner on the right side of shop. My boo Allan, brother from another mother (Kreamy Kat), and I went for brunch on Saturday and every single place was crowded!

Smorgasburg NYC @ Brooklyn Bridge Park!
Brooklyn Cool, before Brooklyn was Cool. Just in time for lunch, I have some food porn for you here. Yesterday, Allan and I were supposed to go apple picking with Leo but were running a bit late, and so we decided to go to Smorgasburg instead at the Brooklyn Bridge Park.
We walked around with warm apple cider and tried different kinds of food from all over the world. From jerked chicken to vegan vegetable pie, they've got something for everyone.
Are yous ready? I have way too many pictures to too show yous ;)

Chanel Espadrilles + Malawach Brunch @ Cafe Orlin
Espadrilles are super cute, simple, comfy, and they go with almost every outfit depending on it's color. Espadrilles were hot and in season for spring/summer of 2013, and all of the cutest bloggers were stomping all over town in their favorite pair.
'So I am a tad bit late but, a working girl like me must save her dollas/shop smart, and so I waited a bit longer than everyone else to get my Chanel baby. Once it arrived, I took precious out to brunch with me & Allan to Café Orlin in the East Village.
Every time Allan and I walk by Cafe Orlin, there's always a long line with people waiting up to 30 minutes for a table. I wanted to know what the hype was all about, so Allan and I finally decided to go and try it out over the weekend. We ignored our grumbling stomachs until about 2 pm so we could have a later brunch, hoping we would miss the crowd. It was good thinkin' because we only waited for a bout 5 minutes to be seated inside.

Daytime Playtime in KTown @ Maru NYC + Tous Les Jours
On Saturday, Allan and I had a fantastic day shopping and smooching around Herald Square, 34th street area near Korean Town. We went to a few places but ended up at Zara and Uniqlo, the two stores we love to frequent for our basic wardrobe needs. After dashing around for the best deals, we got super hungry and we strolled over to Maru for a loungy Asian fusion dinner. For dessert, we got pastries from our favorite French-Asian patisserie, Tous Le Jours. I always love spending the day in Korea Town :)

ABC Kitchen - Easy as 123
So good, we'll eat off their carpet
Future Super Lawyer of New York City
ABC kitchen prides themselves on being an "aggressively green" Restaurant similar to the Blue Hill Restaurant, who get's all their ingredients from their own organic farms.
"Everything here is: Fair trade! Globally artistic! Reclaimed and recycled! Soy-based! Post-consumer fiber!...The notion of the place is haute organic and Hamptons sustainable. The restaurant is airy and open and relaxed the way the second homes of the wealthy often are, with LED-style lighting over warm floors. Ingredients for the cooking, as a position paper on the back of the chic cardboard menu declares, are “consciously sourced.” The breadbaskets were “handcrafted by the indigenous Mapuche people of Patagonia.” On ABC Kitchen-NY Times

Oysters Happy Hour @ The Mermaid Inn NYC
“As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.”
-Ernest Hemmingway

Via Alice in Wonderland
Last Friday, Allan and went on a cutsie little date. We went to The Mermaid Inn for a light dinner, located in the east village (2nd avenue between 5th and 6th street) and we got there just in time for their happy hour. The Mermaid Inn hosts a happy hour 7 days a week, between 5 and 7 PM Monday through Fridays, and they have specials on selected oysters, drinks and appetizers. We got there as it was opening, and boy were we glad we got there at that time, because the entire restaurant filled up within the next 20 minutes. All the people who came to dine were young, stylish, and trendy! The menu is great, the price is affordable, and the ambiance is surely romantic and hip. But really, you cant go wrong with a $1 oyster special right? So boy's keep this one in the back of your head for your next date ;)

Food Pilgrimage- Lunch @ The NoMad Hotel NYC
Last year, the most eagerly anticipated hotel opened up in the Flatiron district in Chelsea called The NoMad Hotel. The name alludes to the popularity of the "food pilgrimage" around the triangular shaped area right above Madison Square park. Right above the park, one can find rows of food trucks in the triangle square during the summer. Around the square are popular restaurants like Shake Shake in the Park, Eataly, and Eleven Madison Park. Steph (weffieweffers) and I decided to ball out a little, and have a naughty long lunch to make the week feel brighter.
