Dachshund Festival NYC April 26, 2014 @ Washington Square Park

Hot Dogs galore!
Are you ready to see the most adorable Dachshunds in all of NYC?

Dachshund are a special breed and they have some of the most loyal fans ever! If a dog is man’s best friend, a dachshund must be his BFF. Doxies have always been popular with artists, authors, and other creative individuals like Marlon Brando, Adele, Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Mahatma Gandhi just to name a few.
To celebrate our wiener buddies, all the Dachshund lovers of NYC met up in Washington Square park, on a bright and sunshiny Saturday.

Dinner, Vodka, Caviar Tasting and High Tea Datenight @ The Russian Tea Room NYC

Foodies and vodka connoisseurs everywhere, this is for you! Countless celebrities and politicians from around the world have visited The Russian Tea Room. Madonna was a coat check girl just there before she got her big break. As some of you may be know already, my boo is Russian and was raised in Estonia. To celebrate his heritage and culture, we went to The Russian Tea for a beautiful night of vodka + caviar Tasting, dinner, and high tea.

I love New York because there are so many places/precious landmarks that have been featured in famous films and tv shows that we all love to watch. When I was much younger, I would walk over to TIffany's with my $1.50 bagel/coffee special and pretend to be Holly Golightly. I am grateful to always know that, as long as you're in New York, there is always somewhere you can go to feel like you are a part of royalty.

Into the Wild: Perfect DYI Twig Terrarium Kit

Happy Mondee Homies. Today, I bring you a little DIY action inspired by the Flower Show in Philly that I visited last month. I have always wanted to have a little garden of my own where I could grow peppers, tomatoes and other tiny edible plant species but as you all know, most apartments in NYC don't come equipped with wholesome gardens and cute backyards. To fill my void, I decided to get creative and grow something super easy to maintain.
Trust me Homies. Terrariums are trendy :)
Even West Elm has their own "How to Make your Own Terrarium" Collection.

SUNDAY BRUNCH SPOT NYC - ANTIBES BISTRO - LES GEM

Hidden on Suffolk street between Delancey and Rivington, there lies a cozy and charming little joint called Antibes Bistro. Allan and I wandered from Gramercy to the Lower East Side and couldn't find a place we wanted to have brunch because every place looked like a zoo. Every other restaurant we stopped at seemed so crowded on this particular busy Sunday afternoon, and there were lines of people waiting at every restaurant. After the hostess at the last restaurant we stopped at told me it would be a 45 minute wait, I got super discouraged and almost wanted to just go home and call it quits. Right as I started to get cranky, my hubby really came through and found us this hidden gem!
Be sure to try it out when you're in the area but remember Homies, it's our little secret.

Sunday Funday with Erin - Italian Futurism @ the Guggenheim NYC

Manifesto of Futurism #1: We want to sing the love of danger, the habit of energy and rashness.

On Sunday, Erin and I went to Guggenheim to get our culture fix on. From Kandinsky to Monet, it was the perfect place to catch up on our boy drama and see beautiful art. It ended up being a wonderful day to be out and about in New York City.

No Wait, No Lines = The Naked CRONUT Recipe

Croissoughnut = Cronuts

Everyone has been obsessed with them and they are still hard to get, even after almost a full year since it's creation. Yeah yeah yeah, I know I can go on Dominique Ansel's website and pre-order them or drag my butt over to Spring street and wait on the never-ending line outside her bakery at the crack of dawn but, I would rather not. To get around all the fuss of waiting, Allan and I picked a rainy Sunday and decided to make our own Cronuts within the confinements of our home sweet home. I scoured the web and found a decent recipe I wanted to use. My boo thang got so excited, he stripped down to his undies for this recipe. I mean let's be real homies, Cronuts are great and all, but nothing tastes as good as naked feels. So don't go nuts for a Cronut. Come over to mi casa, strip down, and Allan will make you a Cronut. How does that sound?

Hope you enjoy our Lesbananas Naked Cronut Recipe ❤
