Dachshund Festival NYC April 26, 2014 @ Washington Square Park

Hot Dogs galore!
Are you ready to see the most adorable Dachshunds in all of NYC?

Dachshund are a special breed and they have some of the most loyal fans ever! If a dog is man’s best friend, a dachshund must be his BFF. Doxies have always been popular with artists, authors, and other creative individuals like Marlon Brando, Adele, Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Mahatma Gandhi just to name a few.
To celebrate our wiener buddies, all the Dachshund lovers of NYC met up in Washington Square park, on a bright and sunshiny Saturday.

We were all instructed to meet by the famous Arch!

Prince Leo excitedly ran around with his ball, waiting for his cousins and long lost brothers and sisters.

When the clock stroke twelve, the park slowly started filling with fabulous frankfurters.By twelve thirty, the entire area by the Arch was raided by dingdongs!

Oh, why hello there!
Standard, Mini, Tweenie, Long-haired, Short-haired, or Wired-hair. They all came out for the meetup!
This delightful doxie melted my heart and I fell in love all over again.
Meet Lucy. She is a beautiful long-haired mini Dachshund.
Standard Doxie and Mini Doxie, giving each other some love.
¡Ay, caramba! This little one got all the attention when he arrived with his sombrero on.
My baby was jealous of the little Mexican for all the attention he was getting :)
Don't worry baby, mommy only has eyes for you!
