SUNDAY BRUNCH SPOT NYC - ANTIBES BISTRO - LES GEM

Hidden on Suffolk street between Delancey and Rivington, there lies a cozy and charming little joint called Antibes Bistro. Allan and I wandered from Gramercy to the Lower East Side and couldn't find a place we wanted to have brunch because every place looked like a zoo. Every other restaurant we stopped at seemed so crowded on this particular busy Sunday afternoon, and there were lines of people waiting at every restaurant. After the hostess at the last restaurant we stopped at told me it would be a 45 minute wait, I got super discouraged and almost wanted to just go home and call it quits. Right as I started to get cranky, my hubby really came through and found us this hidden gem!
Be sure to try it out when you're in the area but remember Homies, it's our little secret.

Délicieux!

We were seated at the table next to the entrance, which was nice because the sun was shining so bright out.
Unpretentious, Rustic and romantic, Antibes Bistro is the perfect place for a casual Sunday brunch. Their menu is nicely priced and I hear there is live Jazz that happens on Tuesday and Wednesday nights! I must come back to see it.

Allan was quite worn out after our long hunt for a suitable place to eat. #HANGRY

Once our drinks arrived, we became happy little monsters again.
The restaurant actually has a small bar that looks like a great spot to have post work drinks.
We ordered the Bubbly Champagne Cocktail called the Antibes.
Ford's Gin, St. Germain, champagne, strawberry puree, cucumber~ $10
The cocktails are brilliant here. We both oohed and ahhed once we tried our beautiful drinks.
The strawberry puree bursted in our mouths and we could taste the actual champagne unlike some of the diluted cocktails you get at the other restaurants nearby.

To start we ordered Brioche French Toast with fresh fruits, ginger syrup to share.
$10

Just look at Allan's face Homies.
It was the BEST FRENCH TOAST WE'VE EVER HAD IN OUR LIVES!
Seriously Homies. I think people were thinking of this exact dish when they say "it melts in your mouth."
Just for these, we are definitely coming back to Antibes Bistro.

I ordered the Antibes Eggs - $12
❤Potato pancake, smoked salmon, poached eggs, mix greens❤
Ugh it was so freakin' good.

 ❤

Allan ordered this of course.
Steak & Eggs - $18
2 eggs any style, roasted potatos, mix greens
Allan enjoyed the steak but he wished it was smoked/charred a bit more.

One more round please!
Great service + great food = Brunch heaven

Allan was sad to leave.
We scarfed everything down and there was not one piece of leftover on our plates.

After our excellent brunch sesh, we ran into Mr. Softee and had to get a cone on our way home.

It was a super happy sunshiny Sunday Homies.
