Sunday Funday with Erin - Italian Futurism @ the Guggenheim NYC

Manifesto of Futurism #1: We want to sing the love of danger, the habit of energy and rashness.

On Sunday, Erin and I went to Guggenheim to get our culture fix on. From Kandinsky to Monet, it was the perfect place to catch up on our boy drama and see beautiful art. It ended up being a wonderful day to be out and about in New York City.

Lucky Magazine + The ManRepeller @Armani 5th Avenue NYC: Style Revival Event

A hundred times have I thought New York is a catastrophe, and fifty times: It is a
beautiful catastrophe. -Le Corbusier

Ash ❤ The Man Repeller ❤ Lesbananas

Last night, my homegirls and I attended the Style Revival party of the season with Lucky Magazine & The Man Repeller at Armani 5th ave. I met so many movers and shakers of the fashion industry in NYC (I Love you Eva Chen!) and felt totally inspired. It was dope.

March 2014 Birchbox Review- Wanna breakup but FOMO Keeps me Hanging On

Underwhelmed by Birchbox lately? After 1.5 years of being a Birchbox subscriber, I want to break up with BB but the fear of missing out keeps me hanging on. I just need one more month so that I can alleviate myself from one more month of FOMO, but really, I'm ready to say adieu.

ARTiculture: The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show 2014 - Part Deux II

“I know a bank where the wild thyme blows,
Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows,
Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine,
With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine.”
― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

Artists and gardeners go together like PB + Jelly, and this year the Philadelphia Flower Show is showcasing just how close the two can be.

"For the 2014 Flower Show, PHS partnered with more than a dozen of the world’s greatest museums including the Getty, the Guggenheim, the Smithsonian, PMA, PAFA and the Barnes Foundation, for an incredible experience at the Convention Center. In this Center City venue, the Show encompasses 33 indoor acres, with exhibit space taking up 10 acres of the main exhibit hall. The Show now entertains more than 265,000 people each year." -PHS

The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show 2014

Over the weekend, Allan and I joined his parents to go see the world's longest-running and largest indoor Flower Show in Philadelphia and had such a great time. The sun was shining and the weather finally started to feel like spring, so it was the perfect weekend to go see some flower art!The floral exhibits made us all that much excited for the warm season to come. We took hundreds of pictures at the show so I am breaking this post up into two parts. Look out for Part II later this week!

2014: "ARTiculture"
Experience the combination of art and horticulture as the 185th PHS Philadelphia Flower Show celebrates everyone from Michelangelo to Monet, Picasso to Pollock, and da Vinci to Dali.
The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center at 12th & Arch Streets in Center City Philadelphia

This picture was taken at the Dreamcatcher/Matrix: "Walk underneath the cosmic dreamcatcher and search for the hidden message in this out-of-this-world design. Explore a futuristic reality that captures glimpses of the cosmos caught and woven on a rebar web creating the perfect atmosphere for floral sculpture. Based on an exhibit at the Grounds for Sculpture, this display uses mixture of textures, shapes, and colors, to look at things in a new way."

Roof Garden Café - Night @ The MET NYC

Heyooooo! Happy Humpy day amigos. Remember when I told you all that my bestie was coming to visit me from Shaolin last Friday?
Meet Xtinz, aka Ginger Spice, aka Red. Christina and I have been friends since high school and our friendship is still going strong after almost 10 years, which is a lifetime for me since I suffer from misanthropic tendencies.

This past Friday, Red and I frolicked over to the MET to meet up with some friends for cocktails on the rooftop. Our cute friend Erin had organized a lovely evening for us, so we were happy to escape the dreadful office and meet up with everyone to play.
