Tu Viens Chez Moi? - It's Lobster Night

Last night, Allan and I made live lobsters for dinner and I was finally able to put my mind to rest about whether or not the lobsters scream when they are cooking in boiling water.
The Verdict = Lobsters do NOT scream
Happy Hump Day my nanner friends!

We had them delivered via Fresh Direct and they came so promptly..and ALIVE!
We had some fun taking pics with our new friend, Lobstah :)
Leo seemed a bit alarmed by our new friend...
Leo sniffed and then barked at us in disapproval. Leo doesn't like it when we pay attention to other things non-Leo related.
We eventually washed the Lobsters and was about to cut the bands that were holding the claws together...
But we figured it was safer to leave the bands while they are in the pot just in case they start going crazy.
With an inch of water and a bit of salt, the lobsters started steaming inside the pot.

If your pot is making high pitched noises, it's probably the steam circulating and creating sounds inside the boiling pot. Don't be alarmed ;)

Once fully cooked, your beautiful Lobsters will look like this!
Flip your lobsters over and cut them straight down the middle so you can easily access the tender and juicy meat.
Before you dig in, you will need a bowl, one stick of butter, a teaspoon of minced garlic, and a drop of A L'Olivier Garlic and Thyme Oil (you can use regular olive oil as well).
On a side note, you should try this A L'Olivier Garlic and Thyme infused oil if you can find it locally. It is imported from France, and is great for salads, meats (particularly lamb), anything grilled, and so much more. It went fabulously with the butter and garlic for the Lobster as well! I got mine at Treehaus NYC for $18.
This is what the butter/garlic/oil sauce looks like. It was SPECTACULAR! Délicieux!
We used these yellow crackers stolen from Joe's Crab Shack to dig into our delicious dinner :)
Hope you guys enjoyed our Lobster Fiesta!

Simple and Easy always makes me happy!
xoxo
