New York City Ballet and the Young Patrons Circle present "A Summer Soirée"

“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind.”
― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

Last Friday, our dear friend Erin invited us to the NYC Ballet. We attended a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, that was followed by an evening of hor d'oeuvres and dancing on the Lincoln Center Promenade. I had never been to the ballet before and was very excited for a magical night filled with music and dance.

I slipped on my Gucci Sandals and wore a cute little number from ASOS called:
I also took my limited edition Chanel 2.55 out to play for the evening.

❤

When I got to Erin's place, I sipped on a glass of Rosé while Erin and her roommate Rita created the most fabulous flower crowns for the event. Aren't they beautiful!? They are quite crafty. :)

We were running a tad bit late, so we downed the bubbles and hopped into a cab towards Lincoln Center.

When we arrived, the fountain was looking gorgeous as ever.
Beautifully refined lovers and friends crowded around it all throughout the night.
We marveled for a minute and hurried inside for the performance.

The performance was absolutely brilliant!
George Balanchine’s two-act ballet “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” turns 50 this year, and we enjoyed every bit of it.

The dancers and costumes were breathtakingly alluring and the crowed roared with laughter throughout all of the first act. The first act covered all of the entangled and quixotic love affairs,  and the second act tied up all the loose ends of the story with multiple marriages after all the confusion is resolved. It's amazing how dance and body language can tell it's own story without a single line spoken by a performer.

This show opened on June 3rd and closed on June 8th, but be sure to check back next year!

After the show, we headed upstairs to the reception, where we were each handed a mini bottle and shot glass from Georgi Vodka.

Bottoms up!

It was quite a scene homies!
There were a lot of very thin and beautiful ballerinas tiptoeing around the party.

After a few glasses of champagne, we too felt like ballerina fairies and pranced around the party feeling light and airy.

It was a spectacular night!
The weather was perfect, and we were all enjoying our time catching up with one another.

❤
After few too many glasses, we all started to feel a bit silly and headed back inside to enjoy a light fare among the ballerinas and fairies.

A prepossessing spread of delicious hor d'oeuvres greeted us inside.

Nosh Nosh Nosh.

I couldn't keep my grubby paws off of these green tea macarons.

We had a marvelous time together but I also want to share some bittersweet news with you homies.
I am very proud to announce that our super smart and darling Erin just recently got a job at Google!
She will be leaving NYC and moving to San Francisco at the end of the month.
It makes me so sad to see her go but, so happy for her new life in a new city.
I hope you will all wish her the best of luck homies.

TGIF!

XO
