AMayZinn Gatsby Wedding Spring 2014 @ The Branford House CT

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Rachel Elizabeth & Michael Roy.

In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

On May 31st, 2014, I went to one of the most beautiful wedding.
It was a Great Gatsby inspired wedding so we got dressed up as if we were going to a Duke Ellington party.

We took a shuttle from our hotel and arrived to a beautiful house that looked like a mini-castle.

Rachel's sister Lauren sang beautifully while her brother Justin accompanied her with his guitar.
While they brought us delightful melodies, the rest of the family walked gracefully down the isle.
Everyone looks so fab.

That's my sexy wifey Xtina...and her macho man chuchu.
Doesn't she look like a goddess?

The best man came out looking chipper and the groom looking quite serious.
I think he might have been a bit nervous.

Ring bearer duties:
1. Guard Rings ✔
2. Steal the show ✔
3. Dance with the ladies ✔
4. Eat cake ✔

Dressed in sexy black - Jessica, sister and maid of honor.

And finally, it was time...

Here comes the bride!

Rachel may have found her prince, but her father will always be her king.
He walked her down the isle under the most beautiful sky...

I love her and that's the beginning of everything. ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Michael looked at Rachel in a way that every young girl wanted to be looked at...

I wish I had done everything on earth with you... ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her. At his lips' touch she blossomed for him like a flower and the incarnation was complete.
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

From this day forward, these two will never have to walk alone.

There are all kinds of love in this world, but never the same love twice.
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

It was like a magical fairy tale and we were all just happy to be a part of it.

Love this crew.
We had all traveled far distances to come witness Rachel & Mike's happy nuptials.

I love weddings because you get to party with your favorite people!

After mingling with all of the good-looking flappers, it was time for the bride and groom to show us their best moves.

And then the music started...

"I said I see some ladies in here tonight I might marry"

Only the coolest bride and groom dance to Jeezy's, "I Do" at their wedding.

After their super fun dance session, we all headed inside for the reception.

The most attractive cake welcomed us into the most elegant reception area.

The boys looked even more handsome in this alluring space.

The best man gave his heartfelt speech and everyone marveled at the aesthetic surroundings.

It was such an intimate gathering, and everyone was having the best time.

When it was time for dinner, we walked over to our table.
No one ever spells my booski's name correct, so we giggled when we saw the place cards.

After all the socializing, we were famished and couldn't wait to get our nosh on.

I had the fish.

Booski had steak

After properly congratulating the bride and groom, it was time to head to the photo booth and begin the party!

Props in hand, we headed to the booth.

The photo booth staff, made copies of every photo and had us sign next to them for the most perfect guest book I had ever seen.

While we all goofed off, the bride and groom snuck off for a private photo-shoot.

Once the sun finally set, it was time for a surprise performance by Rachel's sisters!

It was a fabulous performance, and I remember thinking how lucky Rachel is to have so many beautiful sisters.

We danced the night away and took as many selfies as we could.

I hope I was able to show you all how beautiful and fun this wedding actually was homies...

Because like my wifey says:

Have a wonderful week homies!

XO
