Christmas + Holiday Peppermint Oreo Truffles Recipe 2013

No Baking Necessary! Happy Humpdee Homee. Last night, my sister Xtina came over and we made some de-licious Peppermint Oreo Truffles. They were super easy to make but, require around 3 hours + to make because of the chill times required with the recipe. The Holidaze are here and it's time to put together your best festive fare for your precious guests!

She looks cute and innocent right? She is actually super loca, Dennis the Menace should be her name haha.

Ingredients:
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 Package of Oreos, finely crushed (use a food processor if you have one)
Baking Sheets
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate, melted OR a pack of Hershey's milk chocolate for those who love kisses ;)
6 candy canes, crushed

Directions:
1. Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs, and candy canes until well blended/smooth.

2. Roll mixture into balls and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet and freeze for about an hour.

3. Melt your chocolate and dip the balls into the melted chocolate. Place them on waxed paper-covered baking sheet.

4. Sprinkle with the crushed candy canes.

5. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

They melt fast so keep them nice and chilled :)

Below is our loopy process:

First, I made Christina smash the candy canes.

Then I had her smash some Oreos to bits...

Mix, mix mix.

Our cute lil' model scooped the mix so I could mold them into little Jingle Balls.

We let these babies freeze for about an hour and then dipped the balls into gooey melted chocolate.
Season with candy cane and...

voilà

Little balls, big balls, balls of all sizes :)

okok sorry one more pic.

Come woo me, woo me, for now I am in a holiday humor, and like enough to consent.
