50th Anniversary of The Beatles' First US Tour: Morrison Hotel Gallery Soho NYC

Last week, I met up with two of the funniest people I know and went to go chill with the Beatles @ the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Soho.

Rachel (blonde babe) journeyed out to the city all the way from the burbs of CT, and Wifey (you already know) schlepped all the way from Shaolin to play. Last year Rachel's man put a ring on it and made us all super jelly. Now she spends her days working like a boss and making a home for her hubby away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We are all super duper excited to attend their wedding this coming May and party with the Zinns. It's going to be a fabulous party and don't worry homies, I'll be sure to report back so you don't miss a thing.

La Soirée @ the Union Square Theatre - Best Party in NYC

Keep the children at home! While incredibly funny, La Soirée is a naughty show that straddles the line between Burlesque and Circus.

via theater mania

Allan surprised me with tickets so we caught the Friday 10 PM showing in Union Square and had a blast. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but I ended ooh-ing, ahhh-ing and laughing the entire show. From juggling to hula hooping, it has a circus like aspect to it, but each act is full of charisma and humor making the show more dynamic than the usual circus-like freak show spectacle. The burlesque aspect shines through via the costumes and more so when two english gentlemen performers strip down to their underwear after their acrobatic set. The show is also interactive, where some acts were fulfilled with the help of audience members even if audience participation meant being drenched with water by the sexy half naked man performing his acrobatic set in a tub.The hardest thing about capturing this experience for you all, is that they wouldn't allow photos. Luckily, La Soirée has their own instagram so I am going to use their social media platforms to share my experience with you! I am not going to describe each pictures and ruin each act, but you all get the gist. Go see the show! Average show runs around $96.95 for a general seat ticket. General seating is first come first serve, so be early for prime seating. Posh table seating give you and your partner a private table seating and although they are behind general seating, the height is elevated so the view is still pretty great and the tickets are around $137.95. It's a great date spot so plan your next with La Soirée

Burlesque Thanksgiving Eve 2013 - Night @ The Box NYC

Waddup Homiez.

The holidayz are here and I'm sure you are all sick of Thanksgiving leftovers by now, I know I am but that won't stop me from sharing with you the golden recipes I found/used for gobble day in tomorrow's post perhaps. Also, lo siento for my absence as of late, I have been working on trying to find some ways to redesign Les Bananas and hope to bring you a fresh look sometime in the next month or so.

Today, I want to share with you my amahzing experience with friends on Thanksgiving eve
@ The Box NYC.

If I could explain this place in one word = OPULENT
The Box has a sister club in London and it's just as swanky and exclusive. It's pretty expensive to party @ the box so make sure your wallet is stuffed before you get there.
The Box = "Theatre of Varieties" and their burlesque performances are STEAMY HOT. Photos during the show aren't allowed but a snuck short vid of their sexy opening act.

Night at the MTV 2013 Video Music Awards - NYC @ the Barclay's Center

Last night was one of the greatest nights of my life, and I will be sure to treasure these moments forever. Thank's to 1iota, I attended the 2013 MTV Video Music Award Ceremony held at the Barclay's center, in Brooklyn. I had priority, Pit Fans tickets, which means I had to stand all night but, had the best views in the house. I got to stand right by the stage, in the middle of the runway/elongated part of the stage so I was happy I got to see some of the celebrities up close and personal. I have to admit it was a long wait, and it takes a lot of patience to withstand all the crazy people who will push you until you give up your amazing place in the crowd. I stood my ground and tried my best not to lose my place. All Photos seen below belong to me, and are not borrowed from any other sources. It was a night to be remembered :)
