Sunday Funday with Erin - Italian Futurism @ the Guggenheim NYC

Manifesto of Futurism #1: We want to sing the love of danger, the habit of energy and rashness.

On Sunday, Erin and I went to Guggenheim to get our culture fix on. From Kandinsky to Monet, it was the perfect place to catch up on our boy drama and see beautiful art. It ended up being a wonderful day to be out and about in New York City.

I threw on my favorite comfy Céline Tee and super cute TopShop Wedge Sneakers, to go with my white Skinny Zara trousers. I have been dying to wear my white pants without getting judged.
IT'S. ABOUT. FUCKING. TIME.

If you are the type of person who suffers from extreme condition of FOMO, this is the place to be.
The Guggenheim is a much more navigation friendly place to visit compared to the MET
All you have to do is walk all the way up the cylindrical path!
Every exhibit is neatly consolidated along the path, making it easy for you to see every artwork without even a map.

Allan and I got there just a tad bit before Erin...

Allan decided to get a little exercise and frolicked all the way up the windy halls.

Before we knew it, Erin arrived for our little adventure!

The guards kept telling us "NO PHOTOGRAPHS"!!!
So we snuck around the corners and stole a few cute pics anyways.
#sorrynotsorry

There were a bunch of art students with sketch pads, penciling away at every corner.
They unleashed their creativity and inspiration all around us, and it made me wish I could create something as beautiful as the art surrounding us.

My handsome, bubble booty hubby, wearing the D&G light hoodie I got him last year.

 About the exhibit: February 21–September 1, 2014

"The first comprehensive overview of Italian Futurism to be presented in the United States, this multidisciplinary exhibition examines the historical sweep of the movement from its inception with F. T. Marinetti’s Futurist manifesto in 1909 through its demise at the end of World War II. Presenting over 300 works executed between 1909 and 1944, the chronological exhibition encompasses not only painting and sculpture, but also architecture, design, ceramics, fashion, film, photography, advertising, free-form poetry, publications, music, theater, and performance. To convey the myriad artistic languages employed by the Futurists as they evolved over a 35-year period, the exhibition integrates multiple disciplines in each section. Italian Futurism, 1909–1944 is organized by Vivien Greene, Senior Curator, 19th- and Early 20th-Century Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. In addition, a distinguished international advisory committee has been assembled to provide expertise and guidance."

We marveled at the art, chatted up a storm, and decided we needed a little pick me up.
We decided a little cappuccino would be the perfect boost, and went on a hunt to find a cute place to rest our feet.

On our walk over, we ran into the friendliest Red Bull promoters and snagged some free Blueberry & Cranberry flavored dranks.

Finally, we got to the cutest little cafe called Le Churro just a few blocks from the museum. We got there just in time before the Sunday afternoon crowd rushed in!

The air was filled with the sweet, sweet smell of corn Churros, and melted chocolate.

We all couldn't help but order the same thing.
Nutella filled mini Churros!!!

Allan gives it a thumbs up!

After our tasty treats, we headed downtown/Union Square to pick up baby Leo.
While we got sophisticated at the museum, Leo got pampered at Petco
A full service groom, with a silky spa bath and a haircut for prince Leo!

I whip my hair back and forth.

It was a bright and sunshiny day in NYC Homies.

XOXO
